Printing from the Bypass Tray

Last Updated: Apr 14, 2015 03:13PM PDT
If you ever need to use a different size or type of paper then you will want to use the bypass tray.  These steps should help you do that.

NOTE: A common mistake is not setting the paper type on the copier itself (see step 8)

‚Äč
  1. Choose print from the application you are working with
  2. After choosing one of the copiers as the printer, choose printing preferences or options.
  3. Go to the Paper tab
  4. In the Paper Selection section, set Paper Source to Bypass Tray
  5. Set Paper Type to the type of paper you are using
  6. Click OK and get back to your application and finish sending the print job
  7. Go to the printer/copier and place your paper "print side" down in the bypass tray
  8. If it does not start printing then set the paper type on the copier bypass tray to match your print job
    1. Log in to the copier with your badge
    2. Touch the Set Bypass Paper Type button on the bottom right
    3. Touch the button under Bypass Tray
    4. Choose your type of paper and touch OK
    5. If this matches what your print job setting then your document should now be printing
  9. If it didn't print then try the steps again or ask for assistance
